10/4/2012 Barnyard RV Park, Lexington, SC Site B-4

Barnyard RV Park in Lexington, SC is easy to get to from I-20. We had a long, wide pull through full hookup dirt site with paved picnic pad and picnic table. There are trees throughout the campground and grass between the sites. There is a nice laundry room. Ethernet internet service is available at the office and Tengo internet is available at the site. When we were there the first day was free and you could sign up for additional days for a fee. AT&T Cell service worked fine and so did DirecTV Satellite.

There are many restaurants and grocery stores nearby including a Piggly Wiggly you can walk to. We were in town for a football game and it was easy to get to the stadium from Barnyard. The RV park is located behind the flea market. The park offers a discount for Good Sam Members.

5/27/11 Elk Meadow RV, Park Estes Park, CO

This park is located just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park. It is a large campground with many RV and tent sites. We had a gravel pull through with fire ring, picnic table, WIFI and full hookups. We had plenty of room for our slides. The sites are close together but the location and views of the mountains makes up for that. The best part about the park is its location. Less than 5 minutes in one direction you are in the national park and 5 minutes in the other direction in the town of Estes Park. We were here on Memorial Day Weekend and although the campground was almost full it didn’t feel overly crowded.

5/16/11 Amarillo Ranch RV Park, Amarillo, TX Site 136

We stayed at the park 4 years ago and decided to stay again mainly to eat at the Big Texan about a mile away. We paid the Passport America rate of $16.50. Our site was a pull through but we were nose to nose with another rig. We had to back out when we left. The site is level, mostly dirt with a little gravel with full hookups, cable, and free WIFI. There is an indoor pool and laundry at the park. The bath house and laundry were very clean. It is conveniently located just off I-40 and we can hear the traffic go by. There is a Walmart close by. 5/8/11 Ameristar RV Park, Vicksburg, MS Site 39

We stayed in this park in 2006 on our way west and decided to stay here again. The park is part of the Ameristar Casino. All the sites are pull throughs with concrete pads, full hookups including free WIFI at the site. We were on the end of one of the rows in the back and had a tree which provided shade for our picnic table. Most of the sites had no shade. Our site was close to the train tracks so we could hear them as they went by. We like to hear the train so it was not a problem. There is a nice laundry with 2 washers and 2 dryers and a free shuttle to the casino. It is a short drive to the Vicksburg National Military Park.

5/25/2010 Evergreen Park, Mt. Eaton, Ohio Site 57

This is a beautiful park in the middle of Amish Country. We had a large pull through site with full hookups. The park is beautifully landscaped with lovely flower beds and surrounded by pretty  countryside. There is an indoor pool and hot tub. They have the nicest bath house I've ever seen. The tiled showers are large with a huge shower head and a large dressing area. The park is located on US 250 about 12 miles from I-71. There is a small store on site and a small grocery store in town. It is worth the drive to stay here.
