TheBump.com Bring Your Baby Matinees

I was invited by TheBump.com to attend their August
Bring Your Baby Matinee at my local AMC theater.
It was so fun!
I saw The Amazing Spiderman in a mommy-friendly setting, which included:
  • Breastfeeding-friendly atmosphere
  • Brighter lights and lower volume
  • Stress-free environment
  • Stroller parking
  • Crying babies allowed!
It was so awesome because there were about 20 mommies there
with their infants and they were all enjoying the movie.
There were strollers, breastfeeding, low-lights on - everything that was promised.

I met members of a cute local mommies group and they obliged me with a picture.
They saw the ad at the theater and thought it would be a great
outing for them to enjoy as a group.
It was the second time they had attended the event.

I like that the matinee is a movie that is currently playing,
so that mommies with little ones can go out with friends
and enjoy a current movie without worrying about dirty looks
from others because the baby is fussy.

TheBump.com and AMC host the Bring Your Baby Matinees
on the first Tuesday of the month.
The next movie is "The Odd Life of Timothy Green"
(which I HIGHLY recommend)
on September 4th at 12:00PM.
It's hosted at AMC theaters all over the country,
so check HERE to find a theater near you.

Disclosure: I was invited to attend Bring Your Baby Matinee. I attended because I was wanted to see The Amazing Spiderman. I received admission for free. I blogged about it because I wanted to share this fun opportunity with my readers. All the thoughts & opinions are mine.

Baby Gift Ideas

Babies, babies, babies!
I'm in the time of life when there are lots of baby showers to go to.
Friends, family, strangers - everyone is having babies!

My sister and my sister-in-law just had babies, like two weeks apart.
I think.
Time is all swirly right now.
So now I have two cute new nephews that are TOO far away.
So I sent my sisters baby shower care packages.

I'm always on the look out for fun baby gifts.
Things mamas will use.
Things they won't find on the aisles of Target.

One thing my sisters got in their care packages were car seat canopies.

(this is the canopy I made for another sister-in-law)

These are the canopies I made this time.
My sister-in-law wanted brown and blue with polka dots.

My sister wanted a damask.

Next I made nursing covers.
My poor boy forced to be my model.

And finally,
one of my favorite items,
the diaper and wipee case.
This is a new design on an old favorite.
